CubeIQ continuously processes data on consumption of electric devices connected to your power plant, current power output of the power plant, weather forecast and current market prices instantly sources from your local power market.

By deploying the CubeIQ system, you achieve up to 30% energy savings compared to a PV system without the control unit.

CubeIQ allows you to choose your own electricity management strategy. Options include maximizing consumption from your own PV plant, safe battery recharging in case of a planned outage, or maximizing profit from the sale of electricity produced.

The smart unit is able to manage sale, purchase or storage of electricity according to your strategy minimising energy costs. Furthermore, CubeIQ takes into account daily routine of energy consumption within your building or facility, optimises purchases from the grid at lowest possible spot prices taking into account weather forecast, electricity levels in your battery system and many more parameters.

Everything is under your control

CubeIQ is connected to a cloud solution. As a result, the unit sources instantly information about the weather, electricity market prices and other parameters that are important for your system to operate in an optimal mode.

CubeIQ web interface provides you with a clear overview of operation of your PV plant, including statistical and historical data for your further analysis.

All data and statistics are available also on the CubeIQ mobile app.

In the event of a temporary loss of internet connection, the unit is able to operate temporarily autonomously.

Sale of surplus electricity

You can choose different strategies such as to consume generated electricity efficiently, or to maximize profit from electricity sale at the moment when the spot purchase price is the highest.

CubeIQ algorithms take into account the status of the battery and estimates future consumption in advance. This substantially increases profits from your electricity production. At the same time, the unit aims at purchasing electricity at lowest purchase prices to optimize your PV plant efficiency.

Modes of operation – CUBEIQ

AUTOMATIC mode

AUTOMATIC MODE is suitable for normal operation of your PV system. The aim is to maximise the consumption of electricity generated from your PV plant storing it in such a way as to minimize the need to purchase electricity from the grid. If your PV plant generates more electricity than consumed, then the unit aims at selling it at highest spot price.

SELL mode

SELL MODE is appropriate when your electricity consumption is minimal for an extended period of time. Ideally, for example, when you are on holidays. Sell mode activates an algorithm that aims at maximizing profit from elektricity sale. The unit then maximizes profit from your PV plant while you are on holidays.

BACKUP mode

The BACKUP MODE should be used before a planned grid outage as it maximizes battery charging for the time of outage.

IT‘S JUST SO EASY

CubeIQ is designed to operate autonomously without requirements for your input or maintenance, you just choose a mode reflecting your electricity management strategy. It provides you with information that you can personalize according to your interests.

No technical knowledge is required to install the CubeIQ unit. Simply insert the unit into a 230V socket and connect the Ethernet cable to your internal network. The unit will then automatically connect to your PV inverter control unit.

With the universal CubeIQ interface, we support most certified inverters that support Modbus TCP/IP or Modbus RS-485.
For Modbus RS-485 installations, a visit and installation by a professional technician is required in most cases.

Preferred inverters:
Solax X1/X3 series with WiFi Dongle 3.0 installed. LAN module itself is not supported.
GoodWe GW xx -k – ET series (xx is the inverter power) with WiFi AND LAN module.

After purchasing the unit, a member of our staff will contact you by email or phone to properly configure the unit for your PV system. We will need the PV technical specification supplied by your installer.

There are only two requirements: your household or facility has to be connected to the internet.
